4,000 Persian books maintained in Turkmenistan Library
Tehran, Dec 7, IRNA - Iran's cultural attache in Turkmenistan said that more than 4,000 Persian books are maintained at the country's National Library.
Speaking to IRNA on Saturday, Mostafa Nasser added that the books are
printed and handwritten copies which are considered valuable resources
for common Iran-Turkmenistan history.
Persian language is gaining popularity in the country and the number
of enthusiasts of the language is on the rise, he noted.
Nasser added that the Turkmens should learn Persian since all the
ancient texts pertaining to the country have been written in this
language.
Fortunately, the two countries have had good cooperation in organizing
seminars to commemorate historical figures, he said.
