PT PUSRI CONDUCTS FERTILIZER MARKET OPERATIONS IN C JAVA
Banyumas, C Java, Dec 6 (ANTARA) - Fertilizer maker PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (Pusri) conducted fertilizer market operations in Pekuncen sub district in Banyumas district and Nusawungu sub district in Cilacap district, Central Java, on Saturday.
In the market operations Pusri distributed fertilizer to every farmers' group existing in the two sub districts.
Banyumas marketing office chief Iing Hasanuddin said around 20 tons of fertilizer were distributed to the farmers in the market operation.
Hasanuddin said the fertilizer market operation in Banyumas was conducted once in Pekuncen subdistrict because Pusri still had a fertilizer stock of around 2,000 tons for local farmers in December.
"Pekuncen sub district experienced a fertilizer shortage recently and therefore we held the market operation there. And now we have around 2,000 tons and I think it will be enough for Banyumas farmers in December," Hasanuddin said.
Meanwhile, Pusri's Cilacap marketing office chief Asnawi said 25 tons of urea fertilizer had been distributed to the farmers in Nusawungu subdistrict.
He said the fertilizer was sold in accordance with the highest retail price (HET) of Rp60,000 per bag of 50 kilogram.
"In the market operation we directly sell the fertilizer from Pusri's store house to the farmers without involving the distributors and retailers," Asnawi said.
