OFFICIAL AT AZERBAIJAN OMBUDSMAN`s OFFICE ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN ASTANA
Baku, 06 December,(AzerTAj)Official at Azerbaijan Ombudsman`s Office Aydin Safikhanly attended an international conference co-organized by Kazakh Ombudsman` Office and the country`s Constitutional Council to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The event brought together foreign countries` ombudsmen, representatives of major
international organizations, experts, Kazakh officials, and MPs.
Safikhanly addressed the event covering what his country is doing to strengthen the
protection of human rights, including National Action Plan approved by President
Ilham Aliyev.
He said Azerbaijan was elected to the newly established United Nations Human Rights
Council.
