TURKISH GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS SOCAR’S ACTIVITIES IN TURKEY

Baku, 06 December,(AzerTAj)SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with Turkish
delegation led by State Minister Kursad Tuzmen to attend a business forum, on
December 4.
Mr. R. Abdullayev stressed the Company’s special role in expanding cooperation
between the two countries.
Recalling that SOCAR acquired a controlling stake in Turkey’s major petrochemical
maker Petkim this year and further investment will be made in the Company next
years.
Kursad Tuzmen said his Government stands ready to provide any assistance for the
expansion of SOCAR’s activities in Turkey.
He stressed that Turkish companies have shown interest in cooperation in the fields
such as oil-contaminated land lean-up, shipping and shipbuilding, and gas supply.
