The government has to interfere in the General Elections Commission (KPU) affairs in order to help secure the implementation of the general elections scheduled on April 9, 2009. In preparing the elections the KPU turns out that it is facing difficulties not only in planning and managing the elections but also in distributing elections logistics. The government is compelled to issue a presidential decree to facilitate and smooth the KPU tasks.
