PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN OFFERS CONDOLENCES TO RUSSIAN COUNTERPART OVER DEMISE OF PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA ALEXY II
Baku, 05 December,(AzerTAj)President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev over the demise of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, his Holiness Alexy II.
In his message, the Azerbaijani leader said:
“I was deeply grieved upon hearing the news on death of the Patriarch of Moscow and
All Russia Alexy II. Patriarch Alexy II made great contribution to development of
the traditional friendly Azerbaijan-Russia relations, strengthening the atmosphere
of mutual understanding and trust between the two nations”.
“I extend sincere sympathies and condolences to You, and the whole people of Russia”.
