FM receives ambassadors to Yemen

SANA'A, Dec. 04 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi held a meeting on Thursday with a number of ambassadors to Yemen.

He met with the US, Italian, French, Dutch and German ambassadors and the UK attaché
d'affaires and discussed with them efforts being exerted to settle peace in Somalia
and the problem of piracy in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.

The meeting also focused on cooperation of Yemen with the US and the European Union
to gather efforts to face the phenomenon of piracy.

FM received the Japanese ambassador on cooperation with Japan to support Yemeni
coast guards to enable them encounter piracy and smuggling.

Al-Qirbi also held a meeting with the Syrian ambassador to Yemen and discussed with
him the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and means of developing it.
