AZERBAIJAN CARRIES OUT EXPORT-IMPORT OPERATIONS WORTH OVER $51.99 BILLION
Baku, 05 December,(AzerTAj)According to the State Statistical Committee, Azerbaijan carried out export and import operations worth $51.99 billion with 137 foreign countries in January-October this year.
Exported goods accounted for $46 billion (88,6%) of the trade turnover while imported ones $5,9 (11.4%) billion, thus, presenting a trade surplus of $40.1 billion. Foreign trade turnover picked up 5, 6 % year-on-year. Trade with the European Union accounted for 53.7% of export-import operations, CIS - 6,5% and other states- 39.8%. European countries` share in the overall trade turnover constitutes 59,6%, Asian nations` share 24,9%, American countries` share 15%, African nations- 0,5%, Oceania countries- 0,02%. 81,4% of foreign trade operations were carried out with Italy, USA, Israel, India, France, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Turkey, Indonesia and Chile.
