1st round of Yemeni-Kuwaiti Ministerial Committee put off

SANA'A, Dec. 04 (Saba) - The First round of the Yemeni-Kuwaiti
Ministerial Committee, scheduled for December 3 in Yemen's
commercial capital Aden, has been postponed.

The weekly September 26 reported that the delay came after the
Kuwaiti government had submitted its resignation which Kuwait's Emir
accepted.

Informed sources said that once a fresh Kuwaiti government is formed
a new date for the meeting would be set by the two countries.

Two days ago, the two countries signed, in principal, a bilateral
document on cooperation in the economic, development and technical
areas.

This took place at the end of a two-day meeting of the
Yemeni-Kuwaiti Technical Preparatory Committee which was held in
Aden and chaired jointly by deputy minister of Planning and
International Cooperation for International Cooperation Sector
Hisham Sharaf and head of the Arab World Department at the Kuwaiti
Foreign ministry Jasim al-Mubaraki.

The document will pave the way for improving the bilateral
relationship between the two countries particularly in the
investment area through providing more facilitation for Kuwaiti
investors in Yemen, Sharaf said.

The meeting discussed issues related to promoting bilateral
cooperation as well as setting up a joint committee that would be
chaired by the Foreign ministers in both countries, he said.
