Internet job site launched for retired soldiers

SEOUL, Dec. 4 (Yonhap) -- An Internet job site that helps retired soldiers find
information on vocational training and other work-related advice launched
Thursday, the veterans ministry said.
The Veterans Network for Occupation and Work (VNOW) system is designed to link
soldiers' specialties and careers with companies' recruitment programs, said the
Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
The system also provides the veterans with a comprehensive consultation from job
counselors employed by the ministry who can access the information on the VNOW
Web site, according to the ministry.
"The VNOW site is meant to gather information on veterans' careers and history of
vocational training while in the military which has not been effectively stored
so far, and to help them get useful information easily," said the ministry in a
statement.
