AZERBAIJAN AND QATAR TO STRENGTHEN CULTURAL RELATIONS

Baku, 03 December,(AzerTAj)Qatar`s Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Hamad bin
Abdulaziz al-Kuwari who is in Baku to attend CoE Conference of Ministers
responsible for Culture said Azerbaijan and Qatar would strengthen their cultural
relations.
According to the Minister, Qatar`s cultural week is planned to be held in Baku in
2009.
“Baku was announced the capital of Islamic culture in 2009. Our cultural week will
be organized as part of this program. We are interested in expansion of bilateral
cultural cooperation. I think we have a lot to do in deepening bilateral cultural
relations,” the Minister noted.
Abdulaziz al-Kuwari also said during the visit he met with his Azerbaijani
counterpart Abulfas Garayev to discuss cultural cooperation between the two
countries.
