Donors raise donation for refugees to $ 17 million

ADEN, Dec. 03 (Saba)- General Inspector of the United Nation High
Commission fro Refugees Naser Ishaq said donor countries have worked
on raising donation given to refugee in Yemen from $ 4 million to 17
million.

In a meeting with the Secretary General of Aden Local Council
Abdul-Karim Shaef Wednesday, the UN official indicated that the
commission knows problems caused by refugees fleeing from the camps
and would work on solving them.

Shaef affirmed necessity of setting up controlling measures to
refugees' camps for easing the process of counting them, knowing
their needs and allocating food and assistances to them, indicating
annoyance to the authority caused by refugees who leave their camps
for practicing beggary.

He called the commission for developing abilities and skills of
refuges for helping them getting work opportunities promoting their
living and for spreading health and environmental awareness among
them.
