Yemeni-Danish official talks held in Sana'a

SANA'A, Dec. 03 (Saba)- The Yemeni-Danish talks were held on
Wednesday in Sana'a co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic
Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation
Abdul-Kareem al-Arhabi and Danish Deputy Minister for Development
Cooperation.

The talks focused on the 2008-2009 package of Danish
assistance to Yemen, which includes supporting the good governance
and decentralization in Yemen in order to enhance local ruling in
addition too women empowerment and media cooperation.

They also discussed the future Danish support for Yemen and steps associated
with Yemeni accession to the Gulf bloc.Al-Arhabi reviewed challenges
facing the development in Yemen and view of Yemen to overcome all
these challenges.He affirmed concern of Yemen to enhance its ties
and cooperation with Denmark.

For his part, the Danish official also affirmed concern of the Danish government to
continue its support
for the development process in Yemen.The volume of the 2008-2009
package of Danish assistance to Yemen is six million dollar.
