FRANCE ARCHITECTURE ART EXHIBITION TO BE HELD IN SURABAYA
Surabaya, E Java, Nov 3 (ANTARA) - Several French works of architecture would be exhibited at the French Cultural Center (CCCL) in Surabaya, December 9-19, 2008.
"These are the design of distinguished and award winning architects, nationally and internationally," CCCL press attache Pramenda Krishna said here Wednesday.
He said that the exhibition is an "Odile Decq & Benoit Cornette" agency work, named after its founder, Odile Decq and his partner, Benoit Cornette.
"This event is open to the public, especially to architecture and design students to widen their vision according to their majors," he said.
To complete the event, CCCL also presented a French architect, Julie Chevreux and Indonesian expert Prof. Joseph Prijotomo in an Architecture Talk on Thursday, December 18, 2008.
"Julie Chevreux would give an architecture development view from the French point of view. We also invite Joseph Prijotomo to make the talk more lively," he said.
He said that Julie Chevreux has is internationally recognized, while building "La Banque Populaire de l'Ouest" in Rennes. Several appreciations and publications went along with the building completion.
"The design is focused on function, materials, contents, and taste. Julie's architecture offers a contradictory point of view, soft and strong, on our world," he said.***
