KENYAN DELEGATION TO VISIT RI'S STRATEGIC INDUSTRIES
Jakarta, Dec 4 (ANTARA) - A Kenyan delegation chaired by Foreign Affairs Minister Moses Wetang'ula was scheduled to visit Indonesia's state-owned aircraft maker, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, state arms maker, PT PINDAD, and the Asia-Afrika museum in Bandung, West Java, an official said.
According to a press release from Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs made available to Antara here Thursday, the Kenyan delegation would visit the two industries December 4. The visit was part of the delegation's agenda to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Indonesia.
On Wednesday (Dec 3), Indonesia's Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda met with Moses Wetang'ula on the occasion of First Meeting of Joint Commission between Indonesia and Kenya.
During the meeting, both minister discussed cooperation in several sectors namely security, general elections, trade and industry, financial and investment, agriculture and fisheries, energy and mineral resources, transportation and communications as well as tourism.
Both countries also agreed to form training and exchange programs for diplomats, sportsmen, and anti-terrorism officers.
The first meeting between both ministers was a follow up to the signing of an MoU between the foreign ministers of both countries which took place in Nairobi, Kenya, June 19, 2008.
