AZERBAIJAN SATISFIED WITH COOPERATION WITH COUNCIL OF EUROPE

Baku, 02 December,(AzerTAj)“Azerbaijan has been a member of the Council of Europe for about 8 years.

Over this period, Azerbaijan has progressed rapidly in terms of
democratic development as a result of its ongoing political and economic reforms and
honoring commitments to CoE”, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said December 2
at the CoE conference of ministers responsible for culture.
The President said: “We are very satisfied with existing cooperation between
Azerbaijan and CoE. I am sure that this cooperation will continue successfully and
create additional opportunities for us in the future. Nowadays, intercultural
dialogue is spoken of, but unfortunately, the ongoing processes throughout the world
sometimes lead to increasing tension. I would very much like that the Baku process
started in Azerbaijan contributed to strengthening of intercultural dialogue,
friendship, mutual understanding.”
