AZERBAIJAN`S MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM AND COE SECRETARY GENERAL GIVE JOINT PRESS CONFERENCE

Baku, 02 December,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz
Garayev and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Terry Davis gave a joint
press conference on December 2, in Baku dedicated to opening of the conference of
the Ministers of Culture of the Council of Europe member states on “Intercultural
dialogue as the basis for peace and sustainable development in Europe and its
neighboring regions”.
Mr. Garayev underlined that conducting of the conference in Baku is of great
significance. Participation of the Moslem countries in the conference is an
important event, Minister noted. Abulfaz Garayev emphasized the issues to be
discussed, documents and statements to be adopted during the event will provide a
basis for wide exchange in the European area in the coming years.
Mr. Davis hailed the high-level organization of the conference adding that such an
important event creates for Azerbaijan a good opportunity to boost its relations
with European neighbors even more.
