AZERBAIJAN-AFGHANISTAN RELATIONS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL

Baku, 02 December,(AzerTAj)Head of Azerbaijan Parliament (Milli Majlis) Standing
Commission on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary ties Samad Seyidov met
Monday with visiting chairman of Afghanistan National Assembly Mohammad Yunus
Qanoni.
Seyidov said his country attaches great importance to boosting relations with
Afghanistan.
He stressed both Azerbaijan and Afghanistan had suffered from terrorism.
According to Mr. Seyidov, Azerbaijan highly values Afghanistan`s backing the
country`s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mohammad Yunus Qanoni, in turn, said his current visit to Baku would make a
significant contribution to expansion of bilateral relationship.
He stressed the necessity of coordinating efforts to fight against terrorism.
It was underlined during the meeting that Azerbaijan-Afghanistan relations have
great potential.
The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
