Albania asks for environmental cooperation with Iran
Athens, Dec 2, IRNA - Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Albania asked for environmental cooperation with Iran in a meeting with our country's ambassador to Tirana, there on Monday.
Lufter Xhueli praised Iran's rich culture and said that his country
attaches high importance to ties with our country, reiterating, "There
are lots of potentials for broadening bilateral ties and cooperation,
particularly in environmental affairs, keeping in mind the
similarities between the two countries natural resource and wether
conditions."
He added, "We need to identify the effective factors in taking proper
advantage of the environments of the two countries keeping in mind the
natural diversity of the two countries, as well as the two countries'
capabilities, and to take positive steps aimed at ever more expansion
of ties."
According to the IRI Embassy in Tirana's Monday report, Xhueli also
referred to our country's scientific achievements in various
scientific and environmental fields, including in water resources
anagement, asking for cooperation with Iran in such, and other
environmental fields.
During the meeting our country's Ambassador, Ali-Beman Eqbali, too,
elaborated on Iran's achievements in natural resource and
environmental fields, adding, "Keeping in mind the cultural and
historical relations between the two nations, Iran is ready for
broadening bilateral ties after signing related agreements between the
Albanian Environment Ministry and the Iranian Environment Protection
Organization."
