Algeria keen on Iran's cooperation in housing construction
Tehran, Dec 2, IRNA - Algeria needs Iran's cooperation in constructing more than one million residential units, said the country's Minister of Housing and Urban Development Nour al-Din Musa.
In a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Saeedi-kia,
Monday, he further added that Algeria welcomes Iran's collaboration in
the fields of house construction and quake-proof structures.
"They have potentials for cooperation and both sides will take steps
in line with promoting ties," he noted.
Musa also hoped that Iranian private and state-run companies will
undertake joint ventures with their Algerian counterparts.
Saeedi-kia, for his part, said that following President Ahmadinejad
and vice president Parviz Davoudi's visit to the country, a new
chapter opened in the cooperation between the two countries.
He was optimistic that both sides will exchange experience in the
fields of safety construction and quake-resistant projects.
Iran and Algeria have so far inked 40 agreements in various fields, he noted.
The Algerian delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday and specialized
meetings between the two sides will continue until December 4.
