BAKU HOSTS AZERBAIJAN-TURKISH ACADEMIC MEDICAL FORUM
Baku, 01 December,(AzerTAj)The Azerbaijani-Turkish Academic Medical forum was held Saturday in the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU). The co-organizers of the event were the Presidential Administration, Ministry of Health, Turkish Society of Gastroenterology, Azerbaijan Society of Surgeons and Gastroenterologists and Turkish Pharmaceutical Company “Sanovel”.
The aim of the Forum was to familiarize the medical workers of the Azerbaijani
regions with the diagnostics and ways of modern treatment of hepatic and pancreatic
diseases.
Before the event, the conferees visited the Alley of Honors to revere memory of the
nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and renowned academician Zarifa Khanum
Aliyeva, and laid flowers on their tombs.
They also visited the Alley of Martyrs, commemorated memory of the brave sons of
Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for independence and territorial integrity of
the country and laid flower on their graves.
Addressing the conference, AMU rector, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov told about
the importance of the event, describing it as very effective and fruitful.
Head of Department of Gastroenterology, Ankara University Medical School, professor
Ali Ozden dwelt on the role of the event in enhancement and strengthening of ties
between the fraternal countries.
