Maharashtra Governor accepts R R Patil's resignation

Mumbai, Dec 1 (PTI) Governor of the western Indian state of Maharashtra S C Jamir has accepted the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had
forwarded Patil's resignation to the Governor, a Raj Bhavan
spokesperson said.

Patil had resigned in the wake of the Mumbai terror
