Hamdan names board of human trafficking shelters victims
Abu Dhabi, Dec 1, 2008 (WAM) - HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and President of UAE Red Crescent Authority, has issued a resolution appointing members of the board of centres for sheltering victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The board, which will be chaired by Adviser to Sheikh Hamdan for Humanitarian Affairs Sana Darwish Al Kitbi, will have Sara Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Shuhail, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Tanaiji, Dr. Amal Mahmoud Abdul Al, Aysha Nasser Saeed, Dr. Maryam Butti Al Mazrouie, Lana Zaki Anwar Naseba, Ibrahim Abdul Raziq Al Tamimi and Suwad Saleh Abdul Qadir as members.
Sheikh Hamdan also named Sara Ibrahim Shuhail as executive manager of the centres.
Meanwhile, the board held its first meeting yesterday to review final preparations for opening the shelters. It also passed the organisational structure and protocols of the shelters.
