HM the King attends President Al-Sisi's inauguration

Cairo, Jun. 8. (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today attended the ceremony held at Al-Ettihadiya Presidential Palace here marking the inauguration of the new Egyptian President Adel Fatteh Al-Sisi, in the presence leaders of Arab and a number of friendly countries or their representatives. Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by President Adly Mansoor who thanked him for participating in such an historic occasion. HM King Hamad congratulated Abdel Fatteh Al-Sisi on his inauguration as Egypt's new President, wishing him every success in achieving prosperity and progress for the brotherly Egyptian people. HM the King made a statement in which he said that he is visiting Egypt to share with its people its joy over the success of the presidential elections, and attend the inauguration of President Abdel Fatteh Al-Sisi who was entrusted by the Egyptian people to lead the country in such an important phase, affirming the kingdom's constant support to brotherly Egypt on all occasions. He asserted that Egypt will remain "a strategic depth, a beacon and a solid fortress of Arabism and Islam," expressing confidence in President Al-Sisi's ability to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people for stability, progress and prosperity. "We are partners with you in this responsibility. What affects Egypt affects all our Arab countries because we share a common destiny," he said. "In the Kingdom of Bahrain, we pay special interest in our distinguished fraternal deep-rooted relations with Egypt and its people in all circumstances, and we look forward to working closely with President Abdel Fatteh Al-Sisi to bolster our long-standing relations in all fields and at all levels for the common benefits of our brotherly countries and peoples," he added. HM the King voiced support to the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to hold a conference of the Friends of Egypt to help it overcome its economic crisis. He asserted that the road map spearheaded by the Egyptian people through its own will is "the only way to achieve security, renaissance and growth", noting that "the national dialogue remains a civilisational means to achieve the aspirations of all segments of the Egyptian society, away from radicalism, extremism and terrorism." He called on the Egyptian citizens to join ranks and assume their historical and national responsibilities to allow their country to continue its pioneering role in development and progress.
