Saudi Petroleum Minister makes statement
Cairo, November 29, SPA -- Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral
Resources Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi said that the meeting of the
Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), which
concluded its 81st session here today, reflected the growing global
concern of the oil producers or consumers.
He pointed out that the meeting was a consultative meeting during
which issues relating to oil and gas were discussed.
In a press statement following the meeting, the minister stressed
that it is too early to take a decision to reduce oil production
before the next meeting of OPEC, pointing out that such a decision
will not be taken before Oran meeting in Algeria.
