Parliamentary delegation to participate in APA meeting

Manama, May 31 (BNA) – A parliamentary delegation will leave on next Saturday to participate in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Economic and Sustainable Development Affairs of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) scheduled to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 2-5 June 2014. The parliamentary delegation will be led by Chairman of Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee of the Council of Representatives, MP Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Mulla, and membership of Shura Council member Khalil Ibrahim Al- Thawadi and MP Abbas Al-Madhi. Bahrain's parliamentary delegation's participation comes at the invitation of the President of House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Marzouki Ali. The meeting is to discuss four draft resolutions on the integrated power in Asia, the fight against poverty in Asia, environmental issues, global warming, climate change and planting billions of trees in Asia, as well as a draft resolution on international financial affairs of APA members.
