AZERBAIJAN-EU PARTNERSHIP AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT PROLONGED

Baku, 29 November,(AzerTAj)On request of the Azerbaijani Government, the term of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) was prolonged till next year, EU`s special envoy to Azerbaijan Alan Waddams said on Friday.

According to him, there are other documents signed between Azerbaijan and EU, but
Partnership and Cooperation Agreement will always serve as basis for mutual
relations.
Mr. Alan Waddams stressed Azerbaijan had always been pursuing a Europe-oriented
policy, adding the country`s advancement towards integrating into the European
community had been considerably speeded up over the last few years.
“The Action Plan within the European Neighborhood Policy is very important and being
implemented successfully,” Mr. Waddams emphasized.
