FLOODS HIT TWO VILLAGES IN EAST ACEH
Banda Aceh, Nov. 29 (ANTARA) - Floods triggered by incessant rains since Friday (Nov. 27) inundated two villages in Julok sub districts, East Aceh District, Aceh Province, on Saturday.
In Blang Miden and Blang Jambe villages the flood waters reached heights of up to 50 centimeters, Tgk Sabri Akbar, a local resident of Julok sub district, said here on Saturday.
Local inhabitants were worried about the rains which continued to fall in oil palm and rubber plantations in the east coastal area of Aceh Province.
But they decided to stay at home despite the floods, he said.
