Piece of Kaaba dress gifted to Tatarstan
Moscow, November 28, SPA -- The Saudi ambassador to Federal Republic
of Russia Ali Hasan Jaafar presented a piece of the holy Kaaba (house
of God) dress as a gift to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan
Mintimer Shaymiev during an audience at the president's office to be
installed at Kul Sharif Mosque, based in the Taturstan's capital of
Kazan.
Construction works to rehabilitate the mosque, now named Kul Sharif
Mosque after the famous Kul Sharif of the 16th century, was completed
in seven consecutive years through donations of benevolent Muslims to
become one of Russia's most biggest Muslim worshipping facilities.
