INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC–PRACTICAL CONFERENCE HELD IN BAKU
Baku, 28 November,(AzerTAj)An international scientific–practical conference on studying philosophy in Islamic region was held in Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in Baku on November 28.
The event was took place under the patronage of UNESCO within World Philosophy days.
The conference brought together researchers from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Canada,
Turkey, France, Iran and Russia.
Opening the event, first vice president of ANAS Arif Hashimov noted that the main
purpose of the conference is to discuss the philosophy in the early 21st century,
its history and role in Islamic region and the place of Philosophy in education.
Other speakers included Deputy Minister of Education Irada Huseynova, Associate
Member of ANAS Salahaddin Khalilov, Director of Institute of Philosophy and
Political-legal Researches Ilham Mammadzade, Turkish professor Kenan Gursoy, Doctor
of Philosophy Sciences Zumrud Guluzade and professor of British Edinburgh University
Gulamirza Sabri.
