AZERBAIJAN`S DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS CISM SECRETARY GENERAL
Baku, 28 November,(AzerTAj)On November 28, Azerbaijan`s Defense Minister, colonel-general Safar Abiyev met with Col Michel van Meurs, Secretary General of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), Ministry`s press service said.
Mr. Abiyev told of rapid development of the sports in Azerbaijan and achievements of
athletes in the Olympic Games.
Mr. Meurs expressed his satisfaction with conducting of the 52nd World Military
Boxing Championship in Azerbaijan. He expressed his hope that Azerbaijani servicemen
will be a success in the championship.
The sides shared views on other issues of mutual interest.
