AZERBAIJAN AND JAPAN SIGN FOUR MORE GRANT AID DEALS
Baku, 28 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan and Japan signed grant agreements on four more
projects worth a total of $344.166 as part of the Grass Roots Human Security
program. Signing ceremony was attended by representatives of Ministries of
Education and Health as well as top officials from Azersu JSC.
Japan Ambassador to Azerbaijan H.E. Masamitsu Oki signed the treaties on behalf of
Japan. According to the ambassador, some 110 projects have been implemented in
Azerbaijan since 2000.
Mr.Oki said that Japan-Azerbaijan cooperation will have a positive impact upon the
trade turnover between the two countries. Tokyo seeks to implement several projects
in Azerbaijan, including ones related to health protection, education, ecology,
sport, culture and tourism. Ambassador said Japan wants to enhance ties in the
fields of environment, sports and culture.
