HRH Crown Prince meets President of Microsoft Middle East & Africa

Manama: May 6 -- (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Corporation and President of Microsoft Middle East & Africa, Ali Faramawy at Gudaibiya Palace today. His Royal Highness emphasised the role of innovative technology in further developing the Kingdom’s economy, and highlighted the importance of the ICT sector in strengthening business, trade and commerce in the region as a whole. His Royal Highness stressed the need to maintain cooperation between leading ICT companies and all government entities in order to help increase efficiency and share the industry’s latest innovative products and services. His Royal Highness added that developing Bahrain’s ICT sector will further encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among the Kingdom’s dynamic tech community. During the meeting, Mr. Faramawy expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and noted Bahrain’s advanced technology infrastructure and strong regional connectivity. He highlighted Microsoft’s keen interest to further cooperation with Bahraini companies and government institutions. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and the Minister of Transport, Kamal bin Ahmed also attended the meeting. (IY) I.Y
