Ombudsman meets AI's delegation

Manama: May 5 – (BNA): The Ombudsman's Secretary-General Nawaf Mohammed Al-Ma'awda met today a delegation from Amnesty International (AI) currently visiting the Kingdom. The delegation comprises Dr. Saeed Bu Madoha, Saeed Haddadi and Ms. Covadhunga De La Campa. Al-Ma'awda welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the General Secretariat's constant keenness on extending bridges of communication with international organizations concerned with human rights, such as Amnesty International. He briefed the delegation on the Ombudsman's recent activities. The meeting was attended by the Ombudsman's Deputy Secretary-General Osama Al-Asfoor, the Director of International Cooperation and Development Ms. Ghada Hameed Habib and the Head of International Cooperaton Section Fahd Abdul-Aziz Al-Binali.
