GCC economic legislations compatibility urged

Manama: April 29 – (BNA): The Shura Council's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee chairman Khalid Hussain Al-Maskati urged the setting up of a mechanism for compatibility of economic legislations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He stressed the importance of enactment of more laws and legislations that achieve inter-GCC integration, especially related to pan-GCC trade and pushing to avail from success already accomplished in the unification of uniform customs tariffs and other projects whose positive outcome should be built upon. Al-Maskati and members of the Committee on Financial and Economic Affairs in the Shura Council met the Kuwaiti National Assembly's Financial and Economic Committee member Faisal Mohammed Al-Kandari on the side-lines of the Committee's participation in the GCC parliamentarians' practical seminar hosted in the State of Kuwait on April 28-29.
