Health Minister receives Japanese PMDA delegation

Manama: April 22 – (BNA): Minister of Health Sadiq bin Abdul-Kareem Al-Shehabi received a delegation from the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency "PMDA". The delegation briefed the Minister on the health services offered by the PMDA as well as Japanese pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. The Minister praised the role of the PMDA and expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's aspiration to cooperate with Japan in the field of health and pharmaceuticals and the Ministry's possible benefiting from high-quality Japanese pharmaceutical products. The Minister invited the Japanese delegation to cooperate with the Ministry in the matter of exchanging experiences and expertise pertaining to medical drugs control services. The Minister thanked the Japanese delegation for visiting him in his office and their rich presentation. The Minister hoped there will be more meetings following this meeting in order to promote the contact and cooperation with the PMDA. The Japanese PMDA delegation thanked the Minister for the good reception and hospitality. The meeting was attended by Ministry of Health Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Unq, the Director of Materials Sahar Al-Qahtani, the Director of Public and International Relations Aneesa Saad Al-Howaihi, the Chief Pharmacist in the Primary Healthcare Eqbal Al-Amer and SMC Chief Pharmacist Rehab Al-Nuaimi.
