Bahrain hosts BICSR

Manama: April 21 – (BNA): Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza will patronise the Bahrain International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (BICSR) to be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the motto: "Challenges of Sustainable Development". The conference aims to encourage establishments and companies to include corporate social responsibility as part of their business agenda through strategic and operational plans and also aims to spread the culture of social responsibility and its role and impact in accomplishing sustainable development, societal cohesion and to direct interested parties towards creativity and competitiveness. The conference will be hosted in Bahrain next December to adopt creative techniques and mechanisms for laying down strategies and plans and implementing specialised programmes in this vital field and also to exchange ideas and opinions as well as lessons and experiences learnt in the Arab world and internationally. The conference will include several papers and workshops on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. The chairman of the board of directors of the Bahrain Social Responsibility Society, Khalid Al-Qa'ood, thanked the Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza for his patronage of the conference and his unlimited support and pushing the wheel of development and growth in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
