Project of improving living standard of affected people in Hadramout
SAYOAN, Nov. 25 (Saba)- The United Nations Development
Program UNDP discussed on Tuesday a project of improving living
standard of the affected people in Hadramout due to flood which hit
the governorate last October.The deputy governor of Hadramout Ahmed
al-Janaid discussed with the UNDP delegation the project and basic
needs for the affected regions in the governorate.
Floods which hit Hadramout governorate caused losses at around YR 72
billion in agricultural sector, an official report said.According to
the report of the sub- relief committee in the governorate, large
spaces of agricultural lands, irrigation channels and dams damaged
as well as livestock died because the floods.
