50 families evacuated in Shabam-Kawkaban due to fear of rockslide
MAHWEET, Nov. 25 (Saba)-The local authority of Shabam-Kawkaban
district evacuated 50 families in Bab al-Ahjar village due to
possible rockslide of a mountain up of the village.
The evacuation came after a scientific team of geological surgery
authority confirmed possibility of the rockslide.
Director of the district Adham al-Noamani stated to Saba that the
team recommended evacuating residents of the village as soon as
possible, saying that the authority offered required protection for
the residents.
He added that the authority informed concerned bodies to offer camps
for the families.
