Yemen-Russia discuss fighting piracy in Aden Gulf

ADEN, Nov. 25 (Saba)- Commander of Southern Military Zone Mahdi
Maqwqlah discussed on Tuesday with captains of the two Russian
military ships, currently visiting Yemen, Yemeni-Russian military
cooperation in field of fighting piracy in Aden Gulf.

Maqwalah praised growing relations between the two friendly
militaries and the support Russia provides to Yemen.

For their part, the Russian military delegation clarified that
existence of the Russian military ships comes in the framework of
international efforts aiming at fighting piracy which grew up
recently in Aden Gulf and has become a thereat to international
marine and trade in the region.

On the other hand, Secretary General of Aden Local Council
Abdul-Karim Shaef met on Tuesday with Russian military delegation
and discussed with themYemeni- Russian relations and future aspects
for improving them for serving interests of the two countries.
