Yemen, Cornell Group discuss Yemeni ports strategy

SANA'A, Nov. 25 (Saba) - Minister of Transport Khaled al-Wazeer held
talks on Tuesday in Sana'a with manager of the US Cornell Group Pope
Johnny over arrangements relating to prepare a national strategy for
Yemeni ports.

They discussed the proposal of Yemeni ports institutions structures
and how their strategic aims conform to their future tasks and
implementation of major decisions at the level of ports and Ministry
of Transport.

The meeting also reviewed results of Cornell Group field visit which
to a number of Yemeni ports in Red Sea and the Arabian Sea in order
to closely get acquaintance with situations of the ports and
required improvement for them according to the relevant national
strategy.
