AZERI FOREIGN MINISTRY GETS BUDGET INCREASE
Baku, 25 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s foreign ministry will receive more funding
from the budget next year after the parliament has approved a rise on Tuesday.
Parliamentarians increased the 2009 budget allocation for the ministry to AZN52
million or nearly $58 million, AZN3.7 million up from the last year`s allocation.
Military spending will also see an increase in the 2009 budget.
The MPs approved allocation of over AZN2 billion or nearly $2.2 billion for defense
and security spending, in contrast to AZN1.5 billion in the 2008 budget.
