Dr. Ka'abi holds meeting with Australian Agriculture Minister

Manama, Apr. 7. (BNA)-- Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Ka'abi held a coordination meeting with the Australian Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce and his accompanying delegation. Dr. Al Kaabi praised the advanced level of the Bahraini-Australian relations, stressing the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain on having a comprehensive cooperation, especially regarding in the fields of agricultural development and livestock production. He added that the Ministry allocated utmost importance to the agricultural field as one of the pillars that provides the necessary needs of the citizens. He highlighted the bold steps taken by the government, under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa to subsidise imported meat and launch pioneering initiatives and projects aiming to enhance food security in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Australian Agriculture Minister expressed his country's readiness to expand bilateral cooperation so as to cover dairy products, cereals and educational expertise. Australia and Bahrain have established bilateral relations since1971. SM
