Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal visits Al-Arab channel headquarters
Manama, April 6 (BNA)-- His Royal Highness Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, the owner of Al-Arab news channel, paid a visit today to the channel project's main headquarters at Bahrain World Trade Centre.
He was accompanied by State Minister for Information Affairs Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab and Information Affairs Authority President Ali Mohammed Al Rumaihi.
HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal and the attendees listened to a detailed account on the completed phases of the project which include the main broadcasting centre, the operations rooms and the state-of-the-art technical and administrative offices. He also visited the media offices of Rotana Group which switched recently to Bahrain.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal said he had the honour of visiting Bahrain at an invitation by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to attend F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
He also expressed happiness about visiting Al-Arab channel headquarters and Rotana media offices, voicing satisfaction at progress of work on Al-Arab channel project. He said work is in full swing to launch the channel from Manama as a distinguished step forward in opening new horizons in the field of news media in Bahrain and the Gulf region.
He lauded cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia mainly in the media field which reflects solid ties binding both countries and the leaderships' keenness to further strengthen them.
On her part, the State Minister for Information Affairs hailed HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal's visit to Bahrain, lauding the project of Al-Arab channel which will operate from Bahrain.
Al-Arab channel is a private Saudi channel specialised in providing viewers with impartial and accurate political, regional and international news as well as news and debate programmes reflecting different views.
