Bahrain presents a great opportunity: Rosberg

Arrackal Alexander M Manama, Apr 4 (BNA): Racing in Bahrain is important, never mind the time of day or night, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team member, Nico Rosberg told the Bahrain News Agency. Asked for his comments on the track and what he expected of it in 2014, the driver said, “We have raced earlier in Bahrain, but every race is different and we will know about this track only on practice.” The car is really very quick and the weekend is sure to be very exciting, he added. Daniel Ricciardo, from Infiniti Red Bull Racing, said that Bahrain should provide a challenge only in the night conditions that we race in. "However, I will continue improving on what I've been doing in both Australia and Malaysia," he said. "So far the race has gone well for me. If I can start off in the same vein as I did in the last two outings, then Bahrain should be a good weekend for me. The summer won't be much of a problem, since Malaysia had almost the same climate. But the night racing is sure to benefit the tyres." Regarding the FIA changes, he said "we have to live up to it, since the FIA is trying to keep pace with the latest in technologies and safety measures." "The average number of cars finishing the race is much higher than we expected and it is going to get better. In the cars, the downforce is quite a bit more," he said.
