EDB participates in Fund Forum Asia 2014 in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, Apr. 2. (BNA) --The Economic Development Board (EDB) is currently taking part in the Fund Forum Asia 2014, which is being held in Hong Kong between the 1st and 3rd of April, 2014. The Forum brings together leading experts and high-ranking decision makers from various global financial centres to discuss issues and opportunities faced by the financial sector. The EDB is working to enhance cooperation with global financial centres through the opportunities provided in the Forum, where leading members of the banking industry are able to share their expertise and analyses of upcoming trends, challenges, and opportunities within the various Asian economies. The EDB will also be participating in a panel discussion hosted on the 2nd of April. The event, which is sponsored by the EDB, includes the participation of over 40 CEOs from the financial sector and over 150 speakers representing leading banks from various global financial centers. The panel discussions highlight issues facing the financial services sector in Asian markets, including the main drivers of growth in Asian markets through the influence the Chinese economy has on Asian economies. Also discussed was the growth of the South East Asian economies and the roles that these markets play in overall economic growth, as well as specific issues related to the funds market. SM
