SCW secretary general receives US ambassador

Manama, Mar 31 (BNA) -- Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Hala Al-Ansari, today received US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Thomas Krajeski, and reviewed the SCW's efforts led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, in supporting and empowering Bahraini women at all levels, noting the Bahraini Women's Development Center (Riadat) is a vital projects that has been implemented in partnership between the SCW and Bahrain Development Bank that aims to empower Bahraini women at the economic level. Touring Riadat center, Director Shatha Al-Jalahma, presented a brief explanation on the nature of work, which offers financial, training and consulting services for Bahraini women wishing to be engaged in the field of entrepreneurship. US Ambassador praised the SCW's efforts in supporting Bahraini women to ensure their active partnership in the course of development within an ambitious national plan to meet the SCW's vision towards achieving an equal partnership to build a sustainable competitive society. He also lauded Riadat's role in providing training, consulting and marketing services to promote women's projects, expressing his country's readiness to establish cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two in the same field.
