Ombudsman launches investigation into tear gas firing incident

Manama, Mar 24 (BNA) – The Ombudsman said that an investigation has been launched into claims made in media reports about a Ministry of Interior's vehicle firing a tear gas bomb near a religious building on Sunday evening in the village of Sanabis. The Ombudsman said it is following up the investigation launched by the Interior Ministry to enhance information and to identify the involved vehicle crew. It said the investigations would take their legal courses based on the related information and results to ensure accountability.
