President meets British Foreign Minister
Abu Dhabi Nov 25, 2008 (WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received at his Al-Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday, the British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs David Miliband.
At the meeting, they reviewed the political and economic developments on the regional and global levels, the Middle East peace process and a number of other issues of common concern.
They also reviewed the relations of friendship and cooperation between UAE and UK and discussed ways for bolstering them in various avenues.
The audience was attended by Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region HH Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Interior Minister Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a number of other Sheikhs, senior state officials and the British Ambassador to UAE Edward Oakden.
