Italian President honours UAE envoy
Rome, Nov 25, 2008 (WAM) - President Giorgio Napolitano of Italy has conferred the Order Grand Officer (Italian Solidarity) on Abdul Fattah Kazim, UAE's out-going Ambassador in Rome, in recognition of the efforts he made to further enhance his country's ties with Italy.
Cesare Maria Ragaglini, Italian Foreign Ministry's Director General for the Mediterranean and the Middle East, decorated Kazim with the order in a ceremony held today.
Kazim praised in a speech delivered during the ceremony, the progressive ties between the UAE and Italy. He thanked the Italian authorities for the facilities offered to him during his assignment.
